Pumpkin Spice Wheat Waffles

After finding a great whole wheat waffle recipe, I experimented in order to add pumpkin and came up with this recipe.

Ingredients

cups whole wheat flour

tsp baking powder

tbls ground cinnamon
2
tsp ground ginger
1
tsp ground nutmeg
1
tsp ground cloves
1
cup low-fat milk
1/4
cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4
cup pumpkin
3
tsp egg whites
1/3
cup vegetable oil
1
tbls agave nectar
1
tsp vanilla extract
Directions
1.
Preheat waffle iron.
2.
Mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and spices in a small bowl.
3.
In a large bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients.
4.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the large bowl containing the wet ingredients. Whisk until combined; do not over mix.
5.
Pour 1/2 cup of batter into greased waffle iron and cook about 3-4 minutes or according to manufacturer's directions.
