Lattice Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Ingredients

cups sugar
1/8
tsp salt

tb cinnamon
1/3
cup flour
2
cups fresh strawberries
2
cup fresh rhubarb, cut in 1 inch pieces
pastry for two crusts
2
tb melted butter
1
tb sugar
Directions
1.
Combine the sugar salt and flour. Arrange half of the strawberries and rhubarb in pastry lined 9" pie dish. Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining fruit and sugar mixture, dot with butter pieces.

Cut rolled out pastry dough into strips to form latticed top crust. Brush top with water and sprinkle lightly with sugar.

Bake in hot 425 degree oven, about 40-50 minutes until rhubarb is tender and crust is brown.

For dough: Add 2 1/2 c flour, 1 tb sugar, 3/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp cinnamon and pulse in Cuisinart. Cut two cubes of non salt butter into squares and then add and pulse more. Make sure it is not too fine. Then add 5 T of water and pulse, pulse until all sticks together. Then take out and seperate in half, wrap in cling wrap and leave in fridge for 45min or so, then roll it out into two 9" round pieces for top and bottom.
