Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
6
green peppers
1
lb ground beef
1
cup cooked rice
1
can tomato sauce (large)
2
tsp salt
1
garlic clove - minced
2
tbsp chopped onion
1
qt water -- salted
Directions
1.
Cut a slice in stem end of the peppers
2.
remove teh seeds and thoroughly wash
3.
boil 3/4 cup of salted water per pepper. Add the peppers and cook for 5 minutes.

Remove peppers
5.
Preheat oven 350 degrees F
6.
Cook garlic, beef, and onion in skillet until the onion is tender
7.
drain off fat and stir in salt, rice, and half of the tomato sauce.
8.
heat the mixture
9.
stuff each pepper. set them standing upright in baking dish
10.
pour rest of tomato sauce over pepper. Bake covered for 45 minutes.
11.
Uncover and bake for 15 minutes
