Taco Salad

This is a favorite of the kids. So many say I will not eat salad, then they try this and LOVE it.

Ingredients
1
lb of ground beef or turkey
1
taco seasoning
1
head of lettuce, ripped into small pieces
1
tomato, chopped
1
can of black olives, sliced
4
ozs of shredded cheddar cheese
1
bag of Doritos, 9-12 oz, crushed
8
ozs Thousand Island salad dressing
Directions
1.
Cook the ground meat, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain any grease.
2.
Mix in the taco seasoning according to package directions. Set aside.
3.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the ripped up lettuce, chopped tomato, and sliced olives.
4.
Add cheese, crushed chips, and salad dressing.
5.
Just before serving, add the meat. Mix well.
6.
I usually save some of the chips back. Put the extra chips, salsa, sour cream, salad dressing, or any of your favorite taco toppings out to be used as wanted.
