Masala Chai

Ingredients

ml water
1 1/2
tsp strong black tea
3
tsp sugar or honey
250
ml milk
20
peppercorns
4-6
cardamom pods
1
piece cinnamon
4
clove
Ginger
Nutmeg
Directions
1.
Boil water along with black tea and sugar. You can use any sugar you prefer— adjust sweetness to your preference.
2.
Pound the ginger, whole cardamom and black peppercorns coarsely.
3.
Once the water comes to a boil, add the milk, the pounded spices, cinnamon stick and the cloves.
4.
Boil for 1 minute more over medium flame.
5.
Grate the nutmeg into the pot and turn off the heat
6.
Strain and enjoy
