Strawberry Rhubarb Freezer Jam

A tasty jello-like jam that is perfect for picnics

Ingredients

cup chopped rhubarb, 1/2” pieces
2
tbsp water
1
cup sugar
1/2
sm. pkg. strawberry jello
Directions
1.
chop rhubarb into ½” pieces.
2.
On medium low heat, bring water and fruit to boiling and mash well with potato masher or back of wooden spoon.
3.
Add sugar and bring to boil again.
4.
Remove from heat and add Jello. Stir thoroughly to blend all ingredients.
5.
Ladle jam into 2 Pint Jars, seal jars with lids and screw bands. Bring to freezer. Place in box marked with your period number.
6.
Makes 4 cups jam.
