Delicious Soft Pretzels

Great Amish recipe that is easy to make and the kids love! Not to mention, the hungry husband....

Ingredients
1 1/4
cup water approximately 105
1
tbsp yeast
1/4
cup brown sugar
2
cups bread flour
2
cups all-purpose flour
dipping solution
1/2
cup baking soda
3
cups hot water
melted butter
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 550°
2.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
3.
Add sugar and flour and mix well.
4.
Do not knead as this toughens the dough.
5.
Mix until combined well.
6.
Let rise until doubled, at least 20 minutes.
7.
Cut into long ropes, shape into pretzel shapes, and then dip into prepare dipping solution.
8.
Place on well greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with pretzel salt.
9.
Bake for 4 to 6 minutes until golden brown.
10.
Brush melted butter on the face of a pretzel.
11.
Best served warm.
