Taco Soup W/ Smoked Sausage

Ingredients

Package Hillshire Farm Turkey Smoked Sausage
1
Onion Chopped
1
can (16 oz) Pinto Beans, Drained
1
can (15.5 oz) Kidney Beans, Drained
1
can (15 oz) Black Beans, Drained
1
can (15.25 oz) Whole Kernel Corn, Drained
1
can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes, Undrained
1
can (14.5 oz) Chicken Broth
2 1/2
cups Water
1
Package (1.25oz) Taco Seasoning Mix
Shredded Reduced-fat Cheddar Cheese, Crushed Baked Tortilla Chips and Fat-free Sour Cream (All Optional)
Directions
1.
Cut up sausage into bite size pieces.
2.
Add a small amount of oil to a hot pot and Brown the sausage about 5 minutes.
3.
Remove the sausage.
4.
Now put the onion and 2 minced garlic into the pot stir until onion is soft.
5.
Next: add all the rest of the ingredients into the pot. (not the toppings) and bring to a boil.
6.
Once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and cover.
7.
Simmer for 15 – 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
8.
Serve into bowls and add topping.
