Dads Cajun Deer Meat

If you enjoy deer meat you will love this Steve Pogue original dish. This has become a Pogue, Dittman and Holloman family favorite and is now part of our Thanksgiving tradition.

Ingredients
thinly sliced deer tenderloin or deer ham
1/2
cup Mccormick cajun seasoning
1/2
cup flour
salt pepper
oil
4
apples
1
green, red pepper (what you chose)
1
1 1/2 onions
brown sugar
Directions
1.
soak the deer meat in milk prior to coating the meat about 30 minutes pour off
2.
mix McCormick seasoning and flour together
3.
heat a frying pan with oil and a handful of sliced onions and saute for about 10 minutes
4.
coat the meat
5.
place on top of the onions
6.
brown each side of the meat salt and pepper as you flip
7.
add the rest of onions and sliced peppers
8.
place a lid half on and half off the pan
9.
once the onions and peppers begin to soften add the sliced apples
10.
cook on low till the apples are soft add the brown sugar about two handfuls or three
11.
mix and simmer all together serve
