Rum Cake

Ingredients

cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1
(18 1/2 oz) package yellow cake mix (Duncan Hines)
1
(3 3/4 oz) package vanilla instant pudding
1/2
cup dark rum
1/2
cup water
1/2
cup oil
4
eggs
HOT RUM GLAZE:
1
cup sugar
1
stick butter
1/4
cup water
1/4
cup rum
Directions
1.
Grease and flour bundt pan
2.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
3.
Crumble nuts in bottom of pan
4.
Place cake and pudding mix in large bowl. Add rum, water, oil and eggs. Mix for 2 minutes. Pour and Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
5.
Remove cake from oven and immediately pour on hot rum glaze. Glaze will cause cake to settle but don't be alarmed.
6.
Cool in pan for 30 minutes. Remove to plate.

HOT RUM GLAZE:

Place all ingredients in small pan and boil for 2 - 3 minutes.
