Graham Cracker Pie Crust

Ingredients
1 1/2-2
cups crushed graham crackers
1/3-1/2
cups melted butter or margarine
3
tbsp confectioners' sugar
Directions

For an average 9-inch pan, one and one-half cups crumbs is sufficient, but if pan is deep you will need two cups, and one-half cup of melted butter or margarine. Roll the crackers until fine, then measure and combine with the melted butter or margarine and sugar. Knead the ingredients for a few minutes so that the mixture will hold its shape. Pat into a greased pie pan pressing firmly with palm of hand and fingers until about one-eighth inch in thickness. To insure a firm crust on the sides of the pan, cup your left hand over the edge, holding it firm, then press down on the inside rim of pan with fingers of right hand. Chill for about three hours before adding cooked, cooled pie filling.

NOTE: You may use crushed vanilla wafers, cornflakes or butter cookie crumbs in place of graham crackers for an unbaked crust.
