Mw Mississippi Mud Cake Too

Ingredients

sticks butter, softened

cup cocoa

cups sugar
pinch salt

cups all-purpose flour

eggs

cup chopped nuts (optional)

bag mini-marshmallows
1/3
cup cocoa
1/2
stick butter, softened
1/3
cup milk, adjusted as needed
1
tsp vanilla
1
lb powdered sugar
Directions
1.
Soften 2 sticks butter in wrappers 1 minute on 30% in microwave. Mix in large bowl with cocoa, sugar, salt, flour and eggs. Add nuts if desired.

Spread half of batter on each of 2 round pyrex cake dishes, lightly greased on the bottoms only. Microwave each layer separately 6-7 minutes on HIGH, quarter-turning every minute til no batter remains moist-looking as you look underneath the dish at the center.
3.
Immediately arrange marshmallows on top of hot cake to cover and melt while cake is allowed to cool.
4.
When cool, mix cocoa, butter, milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar and pour half of the frosting over each layer to cover. Let stand until set. Yields 2 layers
