Sausage Gravy With Biscuits

Ingredients

lb sausage (maple breakfast sausage)

tbsp flour
2 1/4
cups whole milk
1/2
tsp garlic powder
1/2
tsp onion powder
salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions
1.
Put biscuits in the oven to cook while preparing gravy
2.
In large skillet, cook sausage until evenly browned, Do NOT drain
3.
Sprinkle with flour, garlic & onion powders, salt, and pepper
4.
Stir, thoroughly coating the meat
5.
Allow to cook and brown 2-4 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning
6.
Browning the flour keeps gravy from tasting like raw flour**
7.
Add milk and mix well
8.
Bring to a low simmer until it reaches the desired thickness
