Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
3
cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
1
cup of Sugar
1/4
cup of lemon juice, to taste,
1
loaf frozen pound cake, thawed
vanilla ice cream
8
whole strawberries
1
can of extra creamy whipped cream
Directions
1.
Clean and hull the strawberries then slice them into a large bowl.
2.
Add sugar and gently, stir to mix evenly.
3.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
4.
Slice the pound cake and scoop ice cream on top of pound cake.
5.
Spoon some strawberries and sauce on top of the ice cream.
6.
Add a dollop of whipped cream.
7.
Serve immediately.
8.
Add 2 whole strawberries per plate.
