Franks In Beer Sauce

Thanks to cousin, Ginny, for bringing this app to so many parties! Easy snack for Sunday football too!

Ingredients

lb frankfurters, sliced into bite-sized rounds or cocktail franks
1
stick butter
1
cup brown sugar
1
large bottle ketchup (24 oz.)
1
qt beer
Directions
1.
In medium saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar.

Add ketchup and simmer over medium-high heat until heated through, about 5 minutes. Add beer and bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer sauce for 20-30 minutes.
3.
Add sliced franks or cocktail franks and boil until cooked.
