Cinnamon Coffee Cake

I'm sure this is the first "from scratch" cake I ever made...so good with coffee at 10 am (and why not again at 3 pm?)!!

Ingredients
FOR THE CAKE

cup salted butter
1
cup granulated sugar

eggs
1
cup sour cream
2
cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2
tsp baking soda
1 1/2
baking powder
1
tsp pure vanilla extract
FOR THE TOPPING
1/2
cup chopped nuts
2
tbsp granulated sugar
1
tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9-inch tube pan.
2.
Combine butter and 1 cup sugar in large bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.
3.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
4.
Blend in sour cream.
5.
Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder together. Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
6.
Add vanilla and blend well.
7.
Pour half of batter into prepared pan.
8.
In a small bowl, combine nuts, sugar and cinnamon for topping. Sprinkle half the mixture over batter in pan. Spoon in remaining batter and level. Top with remaining cinnamon mixture.
9.
Bake for 50 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
