Italian Bread Or Pizza Dough

A few of us remember the pizza with wild mushrooms, picked in front of our childhood home. Such good memories of pizza night at Nauni's!

Ingredients

cup warm water

pkgs yeast (2 tbsp)

tsp sugar

cups all-purpose flour
1
tbsp salt
1/4
cup vegetable oil
2
cups warm water
Directions
1.
Dissolve yeast, along with sugar, in warm water. Set aside.
2.
In stand mixer with paddle attachment, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture, oil and warm water. Remove paddle and insert dough hook. Knead 5-8 minutes.

Place dough in lightly oiled bowl and turn once. Cover with towel and let rise in warm place until double, about 1 hour.

Punch down dough and divide in half. For bread, form 2 loaves and place on greased sheet pan. Cover with towel and let rise until double. Slit top with sharp blade and bake at 400F for about 30 minutes, until brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
5.
For pizza, punch down dough and divide in half. Place each in greased jelly roll pan and stretch to edge. Top as desired and bake at 450F for about 15 minutes. Makes 2 pizzas.
