Bop Bread

Bread you can bop.

Ingredients

tbsp sugar
1
tbsp salt
1
tbsp shortening
1
cup boiling water
1
cup cold water
1
packet premix yeast
6
cups flour
Directions
1.
Cream together sugar, salt and shortening.
2.
Add boiling water. Mix together.
3.
Add cold water.
4.
Add yeast.
5.
Mix in flour. Knead in flour until dough is elastic and not sticky.
6.
Let dough rise in cozy place (85 degrees) for 1 hour.
7.
Punch it down. Let it rise about another hour.
8.
Slice mound into 2 halves. Roll & shapes into 2 long loaves.
9.
Slit tops of loaves diagonally w. swift but pervasive strokes.
10.
Swiftly smunch 1 beaten egg white over tops & sides of loaves to give glossy glaze.
11.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Turn down oven to 325 - 300 and bake for another 40 minutes or so (or until golden brown).
