Oriental Slaw

In the late 1990's, my work group had a salad luncheon. A co-worker brought this to our luncheon and I got the recipe. It has been a family staple since then.

Ingredients

pkgs. ramen noodles (crunch while in bag and remove flavor packet
1
pkg. sliced or slivered almonds
2
pkgs. angel hair cabbage
6
spring onions - chopped
2
tbsp soy sauce
1/4
cup vinegar (any type
3/4-1
cups sugar or splenda
3/4
cup canola oil
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350. Toast noodles and almonds in oven for 10-15 minutes. (I check every 5 minutes). In a large bowl, mix together angel hair cabbage and spring onions. Put soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and canola oil in a bowl. Stir to dissolve ingredients. Ten minutes before serving, add noodles and almonds to cabbage. Add dressing and toss.
