Chocolate Italian Love Cake

This light, fluffy cake is always a favorite! It's the perfect overnight dessert for any bake sale or work function.

Ingredients

box chocolate cake mix
(+ ingredients needed to prepare)

lb ricotta cheese
4
eggs
3/4
cup sugar
1
tsp vanilla
1
oz instant choc. pudding mix
1
cup cold milk
8
ozs cool whip
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350* and grease 9x13" pan
2.
In large bowl, combine cake mix as on package and set aside.
3.
In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
4.
Pour cake batter into pan then carefully spread cheese mixture over batter evenly.
5.
(layers will switch while baking)
6.
Bake cake for 1 hour. Let cool completely before frosting.
7.
Mix pudding mix and milk together with whisk until combined and carefully fold in cool whip.
8.
Spread evenly over cake.
9.
Cover cake and refrigerate at least 6 hours before serving.
