Apple Crisp

I got this recipe from my next door neighbor, Jan Williamson, in the early 1970's.

Prep
Cook
Serves 6people
Ingredients
6
large apples
1/2
cup orange juice
1
cup sugar (divided
1/2
tsp ground cinnamon
3/4
cup plain flour
1/4
tsp salt
6
tbsp margarine or butter
Directions
1.
Arrange sliced apples in a greased baking dish. Pour orange juice over apples. Add 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. For topping - add flour, 1/2 cup sugar and salt together. Then cut in the margarine. I usually use a pastry cutter. If you don't have a pastry cutter, just use a fork. Sprinkle topping mixture over the top of the apples. Bake at 350 degrees 45-60 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is crisp.
