Yummy Blackberry Cobbler

My Grandmother always made this in the wintertime to have a warm dessert in the kitchen.

Ingredients
cobbler
1
(1 lb) package frozen blackberries
1 1/4
cups sugar
2
tbsp flour
2
tbsp butter
pastry
1
cup sifted plain flour
1/2
tsp salt
1/3
cup shortening
2
(3 tbsp) ice cold water
1
tbsp melted butter
Directions

For Cobbler:

Combine berries, sugar, and two tablespoons of flour in large bowl then mix well.

Spoon into 8 inch pie plate.
4.
Dot top with butter.

For Pastry:

Combine plain flour and salt, then cut in shortening.
7.
Add water, then make pastry.
8.
Roll out pastry, then cover pie plate.
9.
Cut vent slices into pastry for steam.
10.
Put pie on a cookie sheet to catch any spillover then bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
11.
Serve warm with ice cream.
