Quick Tomato Soup

Ingredients
1/3
cup olive oil
2
tbsp olive oil
3
cloves garlic
1
can (28 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
1
cup milk
1
cup minced Onion
salt and pepper to taste
fresh basil
Directions
1.
Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium size saucepan. add the minced onion, the two other crushed garlic cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cook and stir over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, or until the onions become very soft and smell really good.
2.
Place the tomatoes and their juice into a food processor or blender. Add the cooked onions and garlic and puree until smooth.
3.
Pour mixture into a saucepan. Heat it slowly, stirring occasionally. When it's warm drizzle in the milk
4.
Place in bowls. Add salt and pepper to taste and basil.
