Banana Chocolate Cake

Sarah's first birthday cake at the Shipperts!

Ingredients

cup butter, softened
1
cup brown sugar, not packed

eggs
4
ozs Ghiradhelli baking chocolate, melted
2
cups all-purpose flour
1/2
tsp baking soda
1/4
tsp salt
1
tsp baking powder
1 1/2
cups mashed, ripe bananas
1
tsp vanilla
1/3
cup cocoa powder
Directions
1.
Melt Chocolate in a double boiler, remove from heat and allow to cool
2.
Sift dry ingredients together and set aside
3.
Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy
4.
Add eggs one at a time. Beat thoroughly after each.
5.
Stir in cooled melted chocolate
6.
Add dry ingredients to the batter alternately with the mashed bananas
7.
Stir in vanilla
8.
Pour into greased and floured bundt pan
9.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes, until cake tests done
