Mushrooms With Sherry

Ingredients

tbsp butter

garlic cloves, minced
1
lb mushrooms, quartered
1
tbsp fresh lemon juice
2
tbsp sherry
3/4
cup beef stock
1
small dried hot chile, crumbled (or 1 tsp flakes)
salt & pepper
3
tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Directions
1.
Put butter in a deep skillet, heat med-high
2.
Add garlic and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms have given up their liquid and are beginning to brown, 5-10 minutes.
3.
Add the lemon juice, sherry, stock and chile to the pan and bring to a boil.
4.
Lower the heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes or until the liquid is quite syrupy and nearly evaporated.
5.
Season with salt & pepper, garnish with parsley and serve with crusty bread.
