Baked Potato Soup

This is a wonderful and filing soup that I would cook during the snowy winters. My children would come home from school during the winter and I would have a bowl of this Potato soup waiting

Ingredients

slices bacon, diced

cup of potatoes, peeled and cubed
14 1/2
oz can chicken broth
1
carrot, peeled and grated
1/2
onion, chopped
1
tbs dried parsley
1/2
tsp celery seed
1/2
tsp salt
1/2
tsp pepper
3
tbs all purpose flour
3
cup milk
1/4
lb pasteurized processed cheese spread, cubed
Directions
1.
In a large saucepan,cook bacon until crisp; drain. Add potatoes, broth, carrot, onion and seasonings. Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. In a bowl, whisk together flour and milk until smooth;add to soup. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add cheese;stir until melts. Ladle into bowls; garnish with green onions and bacon.
