Pasta Fagoli

I learned this recipe from Nona, it's a meal in itself, serve with crusty bread and a salad Great for a winter meal!

Ingredients

pork hocks seep rated
1
cup carrots diced
1
cup celery diced
2
cans tomato paste
salt and pepper
2
cans romano beans
1/2
pkg ditali pasta
Directions
1.
Place pork hocks in pot and add water, enough to cover, bring to a boil and continue to boil for 25 mins. Remove pork hocks and rise under cold water. Place back in pot with fresh water and bring to a boil, add carrots celery, tomato paste,and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer on medium heat for 1 hour then add romano beans and continue to cook for 1 hour. Boil pasta and add to soup. To serve remove the pork hocks and serve on the side , or remove meat and add to soup.
