Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Don't let the ingredient list scare you. Each of these spices are imperative to bring out the Jamaican jerk flavor!

Ingredients

tbsp Garlic powder

tbsp Ground allspice

tbsp Dried ground thyme
1 1/2
tsp Cayenne pepper
1 1/2
tsp Ground black pepper
1 1/2
tsp Dried ground sage
3/4
tsp Ground nutmeg
3
/4 tsp. Ground cinnamon
2
tbsp Kosher salt
1
tbsp Granulated sugar
1
/4 c. Soy sauce
3
/4 c. White vinegar
1
/2 c. Orange juice
2
tbsp Lime juice
1
ea. Scotch bonnet or 2 jalepeno peppers, seeded and chopped finely
1
ea. Large onion, chopped
3
ea. Green onions, chopped
5
lb Skinless chicken pieces (on the bone)
Directions
1.
In a large casserole with a lid, combine all the ingredients besides chicken.
2.
Toss chicken in with spice mixture.
3.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hr but up to 24 hrs.
4.
Bake @ 350F for 40- an hour or until done. OR drain, pat dry and barbeque.
5.
Serve with steamed white rice.
