Guacamole

This avocado based dip is always a party pleaser. Not only is this the perfect vehicle for tortilla chips but goes great on tacos or burritos as well.

Ingredients

ea. Haas avocado, halved, seeded and peeled
1
ea. Lime, juiced
1
/2 tsp. Kosher salt
1
/2 tsp. Cumin
1
/2 tsp. Cayenne
1
/2 ea. Medium onion, small diced
1
/2 ea. Jalapeño, seeded and finely minced
2
ea. Roma tomato, seeded and chopped
1
tbsp Cilantro, chopped
1
ea. Garlic clove, minced
Directions
1.
In a large bowl place the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice, toss to coat. Drain, and reserve the lime juice, after all of the avocados have been coated.
2.
Using a potato masher add the salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash.
3.
Fold in the onions, jalapeno, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic into the avocado mixture. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice.
4.
Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve.
