Standard Pizza Dough

Great pizza dough for oven or grilled pizza

Ingredients

cups Bread Flour
1 1/2
tbsp sugar
2
tsp Kosher salt
2 1/4
tsp instant yeast
3
tbsp olive oil
1 3/4
cups water
Directions
1.
Mix the 5 ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
2.
Add in the water until the mixture begins to form a ball. The dough should be the consistency of your earlobe. Remove from bowl and kneed on a flowered work surface for 3 minutes. Dough should be soft, smooth, and elastic.
3.
Place the dough into a large well-oiled nonreactive container. Allow to rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
4.
Punch the dough down and remove from onto a flowered surface. Divide into three equal pieces.
5.
Preheat the oven with a pizza stone in it to 500 degrees.
6.
Work the dough with your hands by stretching and pulling the dough into a large flat round.
7.
Place on a flat baking sheet that has been sprinkled with cornmeal. Move the dough around to ensure the dough does not stick.
8.
Top with your favorite toppings and sauce.
9.
You may butter, oil, or add flavorings to the crust.
10.
Open the oven and slide the pizza onto the stone and allow to bake until the crust is browned, about 10 minutes.
