large can of crushed tomatoes (i like tuttorosso brand - green)

slices lean bacon, chopped (can substitute with prosciutto, but add at end instead of browning)
grated cheese (about 1/4 cup)
salt & pepper
pasta, cooked per package
Directions

Saute bacon and onions in butter. Once onions are tender, add vodka and cook for 1 minute. Then add tomatoes, salt and papper (not too much salt).

Simmer for 30 minutes. Add cream and simmer for 10 more minutes (don't let it boil / get too hot).

Before serving add cheese, taste for seasoning and adjust as needed

Note: When adding pasta, cook al dente and add to the sauce pan and let it cook for 1-2 minutes in the sauce. Toss and serve. Can garish with parsley if desired.
