Grilled Teriyaki Chicken

Easy grilled teriyaki chicken and rice

Ingredients

chicken breasts, flayed
1/2
cup KC Masterpiece Honey Teriyaki Sauce or other thick teriyaki sauce
1
-1/2 cups white rice
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions

Season and marinate flayed chicken. The 1/2 cup of sauce does not have to be measured out necessarily; you may simply use your judgment as to how much sauce is really necessary. Just make sure the chicken is well coated. It is easiest to marinate the chicken in a large bowl or Ziplock bag.

Cook the rice. It is preferred if the rice is cooked in a rice cooker, but it may be done in boiling water as well. Remember to use 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. 1 to 1-1/2 cups of rice is usually sufficient for two people. Make sure to begin cooking the rice before cooking the chicken and/or any side dishes you may make, as it can take some time.

Grill the chicken. Again, don't start grilling until the rice has begun to cook. Since the chicken doesn't take that long to cook, a good time to start grilling is when the rice cooker just begins to steam or when there are 10-14 minutes on the rice cooker's timer if it has a built-in timer. Grill each side for 5-7 minutes. After flipping the chicken to the other side, apply more sauce to the top of the chicken and allow it to continue to cook.
4.
Serve over rice. Additional sauce may be added to taste.
