Cream Scones

So fast and so tender, serve warm with breakfast or for tea time. Add 1 1/2 cups craisins, berries or chocolate chips. You can add cinnamon or nutmeg to the dough. The variations are limitless!

Ingredients

cup flour
1/2
cup sugar

tsp baking powder

tsp salt

eggs

cup cream
1
cup milk
Directions
1.
Mix dry ingredients together, make a hole in center to pour wet.
2.
Whisk eggs, cream and milk.
3.
Pour into dry, toss together with a fork, push dough together with a fork to form a ball. It will be really sticky.
4.
On counter, sprinkle a generous layer of flour, plop dough onto flour surface.
5.
With floured fingers, pat ball into 1 large round or divide ball and make into 2 rounds about 1-2 inches high.
6.
Place onto greased cookie sheet, cut slightly, not all the way through, into 4-8 segments, like a pizza.
7.
Brush top with milk or melted butter, sprinkle with sugar.
8.
Grease 1 large baking tray to fit the 2 rounds onto.
9.
Bake at 425 for 20 minutes or till lightly browned on top. Will spread double as it bakes, so leave room on the baking tray!
