Cook
Serves 25people
Ingredients
1/4
cup butter
1 1/2
cup sugar
2/3
cup evaporated milk
1
jar marshmallow creme or 2 cups marshmallows
1/4
tsp salt (optional)
1
package semi-sweet chocolate chips (or 2 cups)
1
tsp vanilla extract
1/2
cup nuts (if desired)
Directions
1.
In a heavy pot, start melting butter on medium heat. (Tip: when adding the butter rub some over the sides of the pot so that the sugar does not get high up on the sides which can make your fudge grainy.)
2.
As the butter melts, add the evaporated milk, then stir in the sugar & salt, then add the marshmallow creme. Stir constantly making sure the mixture does not stick to the bottom of the pot. Once the mixture comes to a rolling boil, boil for five minutes. The remove from heat. Add the chocolate chips, vanilla, and nuts (If desired). Stir until smooth. Pour into a butter greased 8 or 9 inch pan. Let cool. Usually sets up completely in 2-4 hours.
