Baked Apples

The simple sweetness of apples and spices of apple pie make this a tasty dessert.

granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

cup white sugar

tbsp wheat flour

tbsp cinnamon

tsp ground nutmeg
1/2
tsp ground cloves
1/2
cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2
cup low-fat milk
1
tbsp amber agave nectar
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Coat a 2-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
2.
Place apples in a large bowl. Add sugar, wheat flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and nuts; stir until well combined. Spoon into prepared dish.
3.
In a small bowl, mix milk and agave nectar. Pour evenly over the apple mixture.
4.
Bake in preheated oven 45 to 60 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
