French Dip Sandwiches

A delicious make-ahead sandwich that is just as good fresh as it is from your freezer!

3 lb. beef chuck roast, trimmed of excess fat
1/3
CUP reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4
CUP dry minced onions

TBS beef bouillon
1
TSP garlic powder
1/2
TSP onion powder
1/2
TSP dried oregano
1/2
TSP salt
1/4
TSP pepper
1/4
TSP dried thyme
1
bay leaf
Gallon Bag 2

french rolls or hoagie buns
Gallon Bag 3

slices provolone or swiss cheese
Set Aside for Cooking Day:

CANS beef consommé (10.5 oz) - use beef stock if you can’t find consomm
Directions

Defrost overnight, then on cooking day:

Place all contents of bag #1 in slow cooker along with the cans of beef consommé. Add water, if needed, to cover 2/3 of roast.
3.
Cook on low 8-9 hours
4.
Shred meat and serve on rolls with cheese and a side of the au jus.
