Saucy Southern Beef Ribs

This is defiantly a family favorite. Daddy would cook this atlas once a month. Nana feel in love with these ribs also. She would request this on a Sunday get together.

Ingredients

lb beef ribs, cut into 3 inch pieces or 4 lb. short ribs or Chicken

cup cold water

cup brown sugar, packed
1/3
cup soy sauce
1/2
cup ketchup
2
tsp prepared mustard
1/8
tsp black pepper
1
med. onion
1/4
cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4
cup vinegar
1/4
cup chili sauce
2
clove garlic, minced
Directions
1.
Place beef, water and onions in heavy stock pot over medium heat. Bring to a boil and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender. Remove ribs and arrange in single layer in shallow rotating pan. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Marinate 1 hour or over night for more flavor in refrigerator, turning often. Remove ribs from marinade and place under broiler or grill. Broil until brown and crisp, basting often with marinade. Makes 4 servings.

This sauce is great on chicken also.
