Sausage Rolls

These are really easy and quick to make but extremely delicious.

Ingredients
plain flour for dusting
375
gr ready-rolled puff pastry sheet
1
egg beaten
12
lean chipolata sausages
1
tsp fennel seeds
parmesan cheese for grating
1
tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
1.
Set your oven to 220
2.
Dust a clean surface with plain flour
3.
Unroll the puff pastry and slice it in half length ways
4.
Using a pastry brush (or your fingers if you have to) lightly paint the beaten egg lightly over the pastry halves
5.
Line the sausages so you get 6 on each half of the pastry (like in the picture)
6.
Bash the fennel seeds in a pestle and mortar and sprinkle over the sausages with finely grated parmesan
7.
Fold the pastry over the sausages
8.
Using a fork finely push the edges together
9.
Paint these with the beaten egg wash then sprinkle with sesame seeds
10.
roughly cut each long roll into 10 smaller ones
11.
Lay the rolls on a lightly oiled tray
12.
Put on the top shelf of the oven for 15-20 mins or until golden and puffed up
