Florida Keys Style Smoked Fished Dip

Smoked Fish Dip as an appetizer. This recipe can be made with any smoked fish. (Prep time doesn't include smoking the fish)

Prep
Cook
Serves 4people
Ingredients
12
oz Smoked White Fish
1/2
Juice of a lime
1/2
Juice of a lemon
4
dashes Green Tabasco Jalapeno Sauce
1
pinch of salt
2
grinds of fresh black pepper
1/2
cup Mayo
1/2
cup Sourcream
1
Jar pickled Jalapenos
Directions
1.
Any smoked white fish will work for this recipe. I like a fresh smoked mackerel or wahoo. Depending on how dry the fish is will dictate the amount of wet you'll need to add. I like it to be firmer/drier than tuna fish.
2.
Rough chop the fish and add to mixing bowl.
3.
Add citrus juice and tabasco (to taste) evenly over the fish.
4.
Season fish with salt and pepper
5.
Add Mayo and Sour cream. With a large fork blend everything together very well.
6.
Line small bowl/ramekin with plastic wrap. Place one pickled Jalapeno in bottom of bowl
7.
Spoon mixture into bowl to top forming a smooth top.
8.
Invert serving plate over mixture and flip both as one. Remove bowl and plastic wrap.
9.
Garnish with something green, serve with crackers, Green Tabasco, and pickled Jalapenos.
