Bread Pudding

Ingredients

cup milk
4
cup coarse bread crumbs
1/4
cup butter, melted
1/2
cup white sugar
2
eggs, slightly beaten
1/4
tsp salt
1/2
cup seedless raisins
1
tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
sauce: 1 tablespoon butter
1
tbs flour
1
cup milk
1
tsp vanilla
1
tsp sugar, to taste
Directions
1.
Heat milk until it boils and constantly stir.
2.
Pour scalding milk over bread crumbs and butter.
3.
Set aside and let it cool.
4.
Butter a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
5.
Pour cooled mixture into casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
6.
Bake until a knife inserted in pudding comes out clean.
7.
To make the sauce: Mix butter, flour, and milk.
8.
Heat and stir until mixture becomes thick.
9.
Add vanilla and sugar.
10.
Keep hot and serve over pudding.
