Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe is a classic, and tastes great! It did not take long to prepare or bake, and they were soft and tasted good. My only suggestion is that different chocolate chips should be used, as the ones we used when making this recipe tasted a bit off.

/4 cups flour

tsp baking soda

tsp salt (or a little less)
1/2
cup butter (1 stick)
1/4
cup granulated sugar
1/4
cup packed brown sugar
1/2
tsp vanilla extract
1
egg
1
cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.

Cream the butter and sugars using an electric mixer.
4.
Add the egg and vanilla and beat well.
5.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
6.
Using a wooden spoon, stir in chips
7.
Using a small scoop or two teaspoons drop the dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
8.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet a few minutes and remove to wire racks to cool completely.
