Ingredients

cup butter

onion, diced

tsp minced garlic

stalks celery, diced

tsp dried thyme

cup flour

cans cans clams, with juice
2
cups cooked diced potatoes
1
qt half and half
3
slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
1
tsp pepper
3
dashes dashes of tabasco
Directions
1.
Melt butter in large pot. Add onions, garlic, celery and thyme. Saute until onions are translucent. Add flour; cook, stirring.

Add clams and their juice. Cook over medium-low heat 20-30 min. Do not boil. Add potatoes and half and half. Heat to 170. Do not boil. Add bacon, pepper and Tabasco.
