Baked Ziti

This was an easy enough recipe that tasted pretty good, though was a little bland. I would suggest using more cheese, and adding fresh herbs and some vegetables to give the baked ziti some more flavor.

pound ziti pasta

ounces ricotta cheese
1/4
cup milk
4
ounces mozzarella cheese (grated)
12
ounces pasta sauce
1/4
teaspoon sweet basil
1/4
teaspoon garlic powder
1/4
teaspoon Italian seasoning
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Prepare pasta as stated on package. In a medium mixing bowl combine

ricotta cheese, milk, seasoning and stir. The consistency should be like pancake batter or slightly thicker. After the pasta is cooked add it to the ricotta cheese mixture and stir.

Coat the bottom of an 8 X 12 inch baking dish with 3 to 4 oz. of the pasta sauce. Add the pasta and ricotta cheese mixture. Cover with the grated mozzarella cheese. Cover with remaining sauce.
5.
Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and warm. Cover with foil if the top is drying out or cooking too quickly. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
