Bbq Pulled Pork In The Crock Pot

When its too cold for Dad to smoke pork, Mom has a great substitution that is just as tasty!

Ingredients
4
lb pork shoulder roast
5-6
whole cloves
3
tbsp Mom's Special Seasoning Blend (kosher salt, onion powder, cumin, garlic powder, black pepper, & a little brown sugar
2
red onions, thinly sliced
2
cups water
16
barbeque sauce
Directions
1.
Stud the roast with cloves and rub with rotisserie blend.
2.
Place roast in crock pot or slow cooker and top with onions.
3.
Cover roast with water and slow cook for 8 to 10 hours.
4.
Remove pork, discard cloves and layer of fat as well as any water and grease remaining in pot.
5.
When pork is cool enough to handle, use a fork or your hands to shred and pull the meat apart.
6.
Return the meat to the crock pot along with the barbeque sauce.
7.
Heat for 1 to 2 hours.
8.
Serve on your favorite roll.
