I Carried A Tequila Watermelon

I was never much of a party person in college, but when a friend suggested we make the old fratty standby, the tequila watermelon, for a Cinco de Mayo bash, I became oddly obsessed with the idea.

Prep
Cook
Serves 20people
Ingredients
1
watermelon
1
knife
1
funnel
1
tequila (any variety
Directions
1.
Purchase a watermelon and make a least one "I carried a watermelon" joke to a passersby.
2.
Cut a hole on top of the watermelon, reserving the cutout as a plug. Jam the funnel into the opening, and open the bottle of tequila. Pour tequila in until the melon overflows with joy.
3.
Insert the plug and let sit for 3–4 hours. Repeat the funneling process until all the tequila is absorbed. Refrigerate the watermelon until cold and bask.
