Classic Waldorf Salad

I got married in 2012, and this is the first recipe that was handed down to me from my husband's mother.

Ingredients

cups cooked chicken breast, chopped
1
sweet apple, unpeeled, chopped
1
lemon juice
1
cup seedless grapes, halved
1
celery stalk, finely chopped
1/2
cup toasted walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/4
cup raisins
1/2
cup mayonnaise
Directions

Make sure the chicken is cool or at room temperature. Toss the apples and lemon juice in a large bowl to coat. Add the chicken, grapes, celery, walnuts, and raisins. Gently toss, then fold in the mayonnaise until combined.

For serving, this is great over a bed of lettuce, whatever kind is your favorite. It can also be made into a wrap or a sandwich. Garnish with extra apples, grapes, raisins, and/or walnuts.
