Basil & Orange Confit Butter

Nothing can add flavor to a dish like a compound butter with fresh herbs, fruits or even nuts. Try this on everything to enhance your dining pleasure!

Ingredients
1
stick unsalted butter (1/4 lb

tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1
tbsp orange zest or orange confit, chopped
1
tsp olive oil
salt and pepper
Directions
1.
Let the butter reach room temperature.
2.
Add butter, oil, basil, and orange confit to a small food processor.
3.
Mix for a few minutes until everything is mixed thoroughly.
4.
Season butter with salt and pepper.
5.
Roll butter in parchment or wax paper and let harden in the fridge.
6.
Add 1 tablespoon (or less) to each serving of grilled salmon.
7.
Freeze remaining butter and use at a later date.
