Coconut Cream Pie

Ingredients

pie crust

cup water
1
cup milk
1
cup sugar

tbsp cornstarch

egg yolks
1
tbsp butter
1/2
tsp coconut flavoring
1
cup coconut
Directions
1.
Mix sugar and cornstarch, then mix egg yolks together with a little milk.
2.
Add egg yolks to sugar mixture. Put rest of milk in pan. Heat milk, then add mixture to hold milk and stir constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and add butter with flavoring and mix well. Sprinkle coconut.
3.
Place in pie shell.
4.
Top with meringue and bake until meringue is brown. When almost done baking, sprinkle with coconut and toast on top.
