Mama's Bb French Toast

Every Christmas my family and I would wake up to the most amazing smell that would fill the house my Mamas BB French toast. I always let it sit in the fridge over night so everything can marinate and have so much more flavour for the next day. This dish will make any day a great day! Enjoy

Ingredients

baguette
2-4
cups of berries
Egg sauce:

eggs
2
egg yolks
1
cup of milk
1
cup of cream
1/4
cup maple syrup
2
TBLS sugar
1
tsp vinilla
Cinnamon butter:
1/2
cup butter
1/4
cup brown sugar
2
TBLS sugar
1/4
tsp salt
1/4
tsp nutmeg
3/4
tsp cinnamon
Directions
1.
Whisk the eggs, milk, cream, maple syrup, sugar, and vanilla together in a medium bowl. Set aside
2.
Beat the butter until smooth in a medium bowl.
3.
Add the brown sugar and sugar, beat till combined. Then add the salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
4.
Cut the baguette up into 1 inch thick pieces.
5.
Spread an even amount of cinnamon butter in both sides of the bread and place in pan repeat this step until the bottom in filled. (spray the deep 10x15 tray to prevent sticking)
6.
Pour half of the egg sauce and half of the berries onto this layer. Repeat these steps for the second layer.
7.
Cover up the tray and place in the fridge over night.
8.
Uncover the tray and place it in the oven for an hour at 350 F
