Sausage Rolls

Every Christmas there is always sausage rolls on the table. It is my favourite food because every time the family is together it is always there. This recipe was made by my great nana. I love her so much and she is one of the reasons why I cook.

Ingredients
1
lb of Sausage meat
1
tsp Poultry seasoning
1
small onion grated
1/2
cup fine grated bread crumbs
1
egg yolk
1
TBLS water
Pastry recipe
Directions
1.
Mix together the sausage, seasoning, onion, and bread crumbs.
2.
In a separate bowl whisk the egg and water for the egg wash.
3.
Roll out the pastry dough about 1/4 inch thick. cute long strips about 3 inches wide.
4.
Form a log with the sausage meat and then fold the dough over.
5.
Brush on the egg wash and cut them an inch thick
6.
bake them at 375 F for 25 minutes.
